Overview Module Three
Figure 1 Cultivating Intentional Dispositions, Practices, and Commitments
Note. Image intends to underscore the complexities, rigour, non linear (represented in the choice of curvy lines rather than straight), ongoing (in flux) relationships between the multitude of components and systems that make up the ethos of education and care (Relational Leadership, 2025).
This cyclical figure is not meant to simplify the ongoing process of cultivating and fostering intentional approaches to practice and leadership. Rather, it intends to underscore the complexities, rigour, non-linear (represented in the choice of curvy lines rather than straight), and ongoing (in flux) relationships between the multitude of components and systems that make up the ethos of education and care. It is also important to note that the above figure, as well as all the content provided in this course, is not comprehensive. It is almost impossible to capture the diverse nuances that compose our lives and, thus, our roles and practices.
It is important to recognize the need for ongoing critical, self and collaborative reflection and the inclusion and exclusion of always-changing frameworks, philosophies, and approaches. Be aware that you will return to revisit exclusion in Activity 3.3
