Seeking out strategic volunteer work is similar to seeking out paid work. There’s effort involved, from researching organizations and conducting information meetings, to reviewing volunteer postings, targeting your resume, and attending an interview.

Some organizations require a Criminal Records Check.  There are different types of checks; some can be applied online and others may require you visit your local police department.
