Here are some reflective questions for you to consider for this section. Check in with your instructional designer or CTET Studio if you would like to talk about them with someone, or build an action plan for bringing them into your synchronous online sessions.

  • Think about any successful synchronous online sessions that you have been a part of. Consider how the design of the session impacted you and think about specific design strategies that were used that you found effective.
  • Read/view the resources on the Design Ideas page in this section's notes. What sparked your interest? What do you have questions about? Which ones could you see yourself doing?
  • How do you prepare to teach/facilitate your face-to-face or asychronous online courses? What preparation strategies do you use that could also serve you well in preparing to facilitate synchronously online?
