When you are offered a role, take time to review your Assessment Information Summary and your Action Plan to confirm that the opportunity is a good fit.
Ask yourself:
- Does this offer the learning opportunity or workplace experience I want to gain?
- Will I have the chance to develop or refine the skills I identified as important for me?
- How often and how long is the commitment; does this fit with my availability and timeline?
- What specific tasks and responsibilities will I have?
- Am I comfortable committing to the organization, role, duties, and the time commitment?
- If you are offered a virtual opportunity, be mindful of scam recruiters or spoof offers. Consider reviewing RRU's virtual job search safety before you accept.
- Ensure the volunteer position aligns to Labour Code Regulations.
