Introduction
“Every decision is a career decision” (Redekopp, 2015).
Careers are shaped by everyday choices, some small, some significant. For example, buying a car may lead to career-related questions:
- What jobs can support this expense?
- Should I move somewhere with a lower cost of living?
- What part-time options are available now?
Even small decisions can influence your career path.
To help you navigate career planning, we’ve broken the process into manageable steps using the Career Professionals of Canada (2015) model:
- Create Your Future – Clarify your vision
- Know Your Value & Explore Options – Identify personal assets and external factors
- Plan Your Actions – Set short- and mid-term goals
Next, we’ll explore strategies to help you move forward with purpose and confidence.
