Course Overview

Welcome to Centre Management in Early Childcare Education!

There are separate sections within this Moodle site, including: 

  1. Welcome, and introduction Describes the background and purpose of the course and further defines and establishes the resource’s parameters.
  2. Module 1: Leading Alongside Explores roles and responsibilities of leaders and the skills and dispositions required of on-the-floor leaders.
  3. Module 2: Leading Alongside Regulatory SystemsExamines how legislation, regulations and practices impact work on the floor of Early Learning settings.
  4. Module 3: Shared Vision, Goals and Philosophy Explores the importance of having a shared vision, goals and philosophy of care and the role of policies and procedures that foster alignment within the team’s practices and cultivate a sense of shared ownership, belonging, and collaboration among staff, children and families. 
  5. Course Wrap-up Offers a Course Summary highlighting key learnings and a curated list of references related to the course content.
  6. Assessment: Includes the final assignment, which allows you to demonstrate what you’ve learned in the course.
