How to use this as an OER

OER usage

Team members in the Centre for Teaching and Educational Technologies at Royal Roads University are pleased to share this OER resource with you. Below are some important notes for those who wish to use, re-use, adapt, or modify this resource.

• All Padlets will need to be remade and new embeds added.
• Journal template can be duplicated for each participant. The Learning Journals will use much space on the landing page. Hence, it is recommended to keep them in the final unit.
• Collaborate can be substituted for Zoom, BlueJeans, or other web-conferencing tool.
• Some of the activities use Moodle tools like Moodle Glossary for Journals and Moodle Choice for facilitation sign up. These can easily be substituted for similar tools in other learning management systems.
  
• FLO facilitators will need to ensure they review all materials and test the course before offering to participants.

This version of FLO was revised by Dr. Lauren Halcomb-Smith and Dr. Sophia Palahicky in April 2020 and equity, diversity, and inclusion are important themes in this FLO experience.
