Summary: Module Two

In this module, you learned about the skills and knowledge to effectively and ethically lead human resources at childcare centres, emphasizing compliance with the Employment Standards Act, WorkSafeBC regulations, and human rights legislation.

In this module, you had some insight into areas you will have to take into consideration as you begin your journey in a First Nations Early Years program.  

This module highlighted the importance of fostering a qualified and thriving workforce through proper certification, training, and onboarding practices that align with the centre’s vision and values.

You, as the “leader”/Manager, how will you blend both your own knowledge and experiences to support the needs of this Nation/Community, Tribe? 

Remembering it is all about what the families, community, and leadership want to see for their future generations to come.  How are you, in your practise you are, adapting to the Nation's needs and wants for their children?  And how will your values and beliefs weave into this Nation's vision and values?
