Description:
The third values-based micro-session focused on the LTRM arc of Caring and Community-Based of the LTRM. The theme for the session was “Remaining inclusive, diverse and co-creative in times of Covid urgency
and expediency”, facilitated by Frederic Fovet (SET) and Lauren Halcomb-Smith (CTET). In the session, Frederic Fovet shared his reflections on the values of inclusivity, diversity, and co-creativity and how they have informed his teaching practice.
Drawing from the three principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), which are input, output, and engagement, Frederic shared some specific teaching practices that reflect his pedagogical values. Frederic offered reflections on how the principles
of UDL can be used to support designing and facilitating learning for all students, especially in times of a public health crisis. A rich discussion with session participants followed.
