Description: In this session, Robert Newell introduced the audience to tools that can be used to engage learners in ways of applying systems thinking to sustainability issues. Newell uses these tools in both participatory research and classroom settings, and although his research primarily focuses on integrated community sustainability planning, these tools can be applied to many different systems-related contexts.
